Claiming Victory

‘It’s not real….’ It’s not real…..’
I need to remind myself again and again while struggling with the recent development of auditory hallucinations and my indispensable visit to the ER.

Trying to shape my mind, in accordance with the real world, is my first step in claiming victory over it. Then, training my mind to overcome, by relying in the abiding grace of God, is my way of claiming victory in my walk of life. Here I’m not trying to talk about my poor health but on claiming victory of certain instances which hurdles our walk of life.

Now, let’s admit that one cannot stay strong all the time. And, it’s a necessity to accept certain alarming circumstances to claim victory over it. But having retained the will power of claiming victory over anything is the first step in itself.

[Never been a good writer but I had written this post with less co-ordination of my hands and thought process in the build up to my wait for PET CT Brain. So, please read it with care.]

By accepting it we can humble ourselves in the hands of the Savior who can help overcome any kind of circumstances – be it joyous moments or hard times. Our moments and times in good stride can lead us into unwanted trouble with larger consequences.

Tears may ensue the situation but it’s a good way of breaking down before the Lord. When we felt we had prayed enough, had the strength, relying on God we might not be in the state of claiming victory as yet.

Each one of us has had our ‘fantasy world’ where we wanted to create our own niche` in our way of living, which, other words, we called it our dream world. It is not wrong to have dissented with the majority at every level of expected happiness.

The reality is sometimes far from the way of life we have fantasied. Accepting reality, at first, is one way of claiming victory over the feeble heart. In my fight against chronic disorder, I need to claim victory day by day in the name of Jesus Christ finding hope in Him and letting the holy spirit to indwell in me so that negative thoughts, which often visited me are drive away in the light of God.

Many times, my attitude alone towards God itself is sufficient when I have no words, because I am t too dry, before him, gives me victory in his abiding grace.

Here, I am using the word ‘claiming’ purposefully. It is my way of asserting, declaring, professing, or insisting the victory which Christ had already paid the price for me in my walk of life outside the garden of Eden, although I have to walk through the thorns, the steep cliffs with emptiness in my heart. It is a reminder of me being reconnected to my Creator in the sacrificial work of Jesus Christ.

Victory In My Name:

“Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” John 16: 24, 23.

Figuratively speaking, Christ had foreseen the grief or the emptiness which would befall the disciples in the times to come. When my world is falling apart as I’m unable to live the dream I once had. And, when you are reduced to live in the care of others my disheartened spirit had to claim victory in the name of Jesus Christ – depending on the words of him and the works God had performed for his people had given a sense of victory over any way of life.

We may seem to get lost in our journey outside the garden, in a foreign land, just as the Israelites. But the Lord’s faithful hand gives us victory letting us claiming victory in his name. Psalms 81 stated: “I removed his( Jacob/Israel/Joseph’s) shoulder from the burden; his hands were freed from the baskets.

Overcoming the world:

Overcoming the world seems to be a gigantic term in describing the effort for personal perseverance. However, the future – long term future and tomorrow holds the key to claiming victory. If for a day we could claim victory for today, we’d be able to see tomorrow, and tomorrow would bring another tomorrow which would make it a long time future victory – even lasting our own lifetime.

In the very words of our Savior, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 Victory in Jesus’ name for those who have it can prevail for them.

Living a Mentor Life:

I have seen several graduates from the “School of Suffering” becoming the ready-made mentor to someone who needs a shoulder to cry on. Living a mentor life is also a way of claiming victory over our past hardships.

Although there will be no end to hardships and difficulties we can prevail for someone, in prayer, before the Lord. Mentoring over someone who is once in their condition is like attaining full freedom as they are obligated not to fall back by holding onto the Savior as the anchor of their life.

What is inside You?

Driving out evil spirits in Ephesus by the Apostle Paul, in the name of Jesus Christ, in Ephesus was not just an act as perceived by the local priests. It was through the power of the holy spirit indwelling inside Paul.

Here, let me share you the short accounts of it – One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding. ( Acts 19:11-16)

In the world of spiritual warfare, we need to keep guard ourselves in the name of the Resurrected Christ asking for the Holy Spirit to indwell in us. – a matter of the person inside us. We are powerless on our own as the fight is more than worldly things. Humbly submitting to the work of Christ would keep us safe and sound.

The victory which is in him would be the anchor of our personal journey as well in the ministries of proclaiming.

I cannot claim victory by myself but with what is inside me I can claim victory over anything. Apostle Paul’s word to the Philippians reads, “I can do all this through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

Dear friend, we all need claiming victory in our journey of life; our issues may be different yet its impact is the same. So, rather than telling it to people whether near or far, they’ll simply misjudge or judges us on their own perception, tell it to Jesus, then we will gain strength to claim victory over it one day at a time.

Claiming Victory is the first step to living a victorious life.
Living a victorious life is beaming in the stairway to heaven
