All of us see things, in other words, we may just call it as your perception. Yours and mine will concur at some point but diverge at any given specific point and time. For some reason, our cultural upbringing plays a role in how we see things. Yet I wanted to go a bit further here in this post.
Now we may cry….but a day will come when we see things very clearly.
As we get older, our perception of life becomes clearer to some extent. We got to know a few things which we do not understand when we were just a child. Even for a simple task, it seems like a mountain before us – a big mountain, which blocked the other side of it.
It goes along the same way in our spiritual journey as well. The Scripture advises us to crave pure spiritual milk so that we may grow up in salvation. 1 Peter 2:2 Here I wanted to emphasize the word grow up in salvation. – we’re to grow in our spiritual journey. And, as we grow in salvation, the mystery of God’s love and mission will keep revealing in his grace.
The way we see is not always what matters, it’s way more than that. And, by saying that it does not point towards negativity. Even more so, amid negativity, there’s a chance of positive energy arising which will certainly defeat the former.
We’re faced with numerous things and topics in our daily life. The best way to tackle them is to say Yes or No at the right time. Yet who has that much wisdom right here right now!
Last night, this question and the preceding question, ‘what do you see?’ is on my mind for a long time. There is a hidden mystery mentioned in 1 Corinthians 2:7 Unable to see the hidden mystery, they crucified the Lord of glory.
However, the Spirit has revealed what no eyes have seen, no ear has heard, and no human mind has conceived. 1 Cor. 28-10. Thus the spirit living inside us helps in seeing things, which were kept away from the naked human eye.
Let me take you to two very such simple yet self-explanatory incidents:
First, while I was young the night was pitched dark on the countryside where I grew up. The white patches on the road on a rainy night were often mistaken to be dry. When we stepped into it, it was a pool of water thinly reflecting the meagre lights.
It wakes us up. Now fully awake, we were more aware of our next step.
Secondly, my deformed eyesight for some months leading to my timely visits to the doctor because of my neurological disorder is a reminder of appreciating good eyesight or seeing things as it is.
How do you see:
How you see things are not the best way intended for you. It’s getting intense if you started thinking more of it. However, our imperfections are the way towards submission to God.
Oh! talking about God, people tend to think of it as a man-made philosophy where the leverage lies for creating their desired outcome. Without experiencing the existence of God, book-talking on this subject is quite different.
Is it as simple as that? How do you see? It’s not for me…… I’ll put it here, for now.
For the last three years, we were engulfed with the Covid-19 pandemic. For many, it’s a source of creating constructing conspiracy theories about it. Not only that, it takes our loved ones, changes our lives forever.
Still, how we see it differ as to the east and the west.
How do you see what’s happening around you? Are you perturbed, discouraged, or encouraged to go on? The resulting thought processing largely differs from one person to another.
Look around you what do you see? And how do you see? Do you see happiness or contentment stemming out of it? Or do you see no good things around you?
Well, have you ever considered this way: For everything you see there is something you’ve missed? How we see many times depends on our mood and conditions.
We saw what we wanted to see. Then, the rest we just ignore them. Thus, there is a good chance of missing out on the best applicable part for us.
So, what shall we do then? How do we see the mystery of God’s word? by humbling our earthly wisdom and with the help of the unseen spirit we can see his ways.
If you’re fighting with grief, I am trying to see the bigger picture after my Dad and my elder brother passed away. They left a huge void in the family, which male members could fill in.
Still, I’m unable to figure it out till now. But how I see doesn’t matter here. I will know in its entirety when the time comes.
If You See it Well:
You certainly saw some of the things you did would turn out to be very well, but the outcome doesn’t always do so.
We’re not the director of our journey. Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” James 4:13-15
If the Lord sees it well, things will go well. If you see it well, not with your earthly eyes, you will see the grace of God. He is with us and we’re God’s work in progress all the way long.
In the end, what we see and how we see it will matter. We need help to see the truth. We’re imperfect beings on our way to perfection. Until then, each of us saw something yet how do we see it.
Seeing through Faith:
It is through their faith the blinds can see; the lame can walk. Faith is the biggest determiner of how we see things. We can see great things when we took a step forward to accomplish what we saw through the eyes of faith.
A person of faith did not simply stand in the same place. He lived by what he sees through his faith. In the same way, it is what we see through our faith that divides or unites us. So, it is more important where we put our faith. Some people did not have faith at all, you might have come across such people.
Put your faith, not on these worldly things. When you put faith in God who loves us before we even know how to love, you will see things as it was meant to be. It isn’t as easy as it sounds; it takes a good amount of surrendering ourselves before the Most High!
Thus, we will be saved in His name. love, faith, hope – all comes from God. Have God by your side; welcome him in your heart, then how you see things will become right in the eyes of God.
