Interested In You

In our younger days, it gives us goosebumps having known someone’s interested in us. In other words, we simply called it ‘crush’ or having a crush.

Since we’ve grown up a bit, in several phases of our life, we need someone interested in us. As a person, we think, we deserved a hear-out once in a while. The heart is desperate for it sometimes yet we keep on hiding it.

For me as a child and a young lad, my father is very interested in my well-being in my upbringing. At first, I did not understand his way of love, I wanted to be free; I wanted to grow up soon. But those were precious days that would never come back.

Daddy doesn’t want me to suffer the pain of heartbreak or hardships in the journey of life. Yet he didn’t do much as it appeared. I remember, many times, sitting with him; he calling me aside or somewhere near but no one could hear us. We talk about things which are useful in my life.

There we talk about life and the heartbreaks of a young and weak lad maneuvering the strains of emotional being. I’m a difficult person. My heart is running deep inside me. My mind hardly reacting at the right time.

God is Interested In You:

Let me tell you now that I got to know someone very interested in you:

God is interested in you
Not only knowing you
Connecting with you
He also wants you
Pour your heart
The core of it
Out to him

I want to express myself;
My mind and my heart,
Which is often rebuke
For being boring.
You’re too wise,
They’d vexed at me.

I know they don’t want
Being too close to me
They’ve no time for me
Or I’m incoherent in
Expressing myself.

But now I know someone
Who is wholeheartedly
Interested in me forever
With no conditions apply
I’m glad I’m in peace

Interested in our Sufferings:

In the years of my chronic illness, what I needed most is not immediate relief from the pain and the sufferings it entails. I needed someone interested in me. Someone whom I can talk to without them judging me nor cutting me out in between. You know what a suffering person’s mind is sometimes insecure, the heart needs to be warmed in a calm environment.

It is difficult for others to understand all of this. Losing jobs, the devastation of failed relationships, loss of loved ones, and things that are not small when it occurs to us are not easy to bear.

God is not a force but a person who is touched by the feeling of our infirmities. He is compassionate toward us. He understands what we’re going through. It’s a matter of time we should give him for he is interested in us.

Interested in our Situations:

We deserved a hear out. Yes, we did! Our situations are unique. But God knows all bout our situations. And he wanted to hear us out if we pour our hearts out to him. How you feel about the Scripture, our spiritual growth, our physical being, he is interested in us.

Haven’t seen the light at the end of the tunnel yet? Still, he is interested in our perseverance. He knows how long it is going to take. The tears that you hide in living with your situations – keeping up with the demands of your situations, he’s interested in it.

Interested in our Stories:

No one may want to listen to our story. Our story might never get published – no one may write our biography. But God is interested in our story. He wants to help us write a beautiful story in his eyes. We are the apple of his eyes.

Our stories are recorded in his book for our final judgment. Our tongue will confess our own story, and he wants it as he intended our life to be. We may not hold positions in any merit offices nor are we rich, but God is interested in every twist and turns of our life, and our little act of kindness we may be able to perform. He would love to teaches us how to live, love, and labor as his disciples.

Interested in our Hearts:

What is in your heart? He’s interested in it. Just a lover wants to read what is written about him in the heart of his beloved, he is interested in your heart. He is not jealous but he wanted to have you. For everything comes from the heart. Matthew 12:33-37

“Na sinlai kul thuk suut khawm ni,” a phrase in my mother tongue Paite, used mostly in our love songs when lovers long to read the core of each other’s heart. God is interested in the core of your heart, he wants you to open your heart for him.

Interested in our Soul:

God is interested in our soul. He wants our soul should not perish. He wants it safe in the strong tower of him. Our soul is precious to him; he sent his son so that we have everlasting life. A rescued soul will see the promises of God.

If for a moment we believed that God is not interested in us then we have fallen for the lie of the EVIL. He wanted the best for us all. But the work of the devil is to deceive our soul.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 It is a matter of believing it or not. For the work is finished on Calvary’s Mount.

Here I wanted to close this with Psalms 8 where the interest of God is specified. If you may doubt I encourage reading, at least the full chapter of Psalms 8. These are my selected lines from it:

When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is mankind
that you are mindful of them,
human beings
that you care for them?

My God I’m glad you’re Interested in me!
