Relief from the Storm

When the storm passed by, quick relief in any form is what we desired the most. The whirling strong winds blurred our vision, forcing us to seek refuge in whatever way we could.

My recent post, here on my site, was just me sending out distress call among my readers and children of God to intercede for us as we tested Covid positive, which rocked our living for a while until the time the Lord God has provided us relief by leading us into our desired haven.

Early into this year, as we were planning to kickstart a new year with positive vibes by celebrating the birthday of our younger child, a storm came through in the way most unexpected.

By the grace of God, we haven’t been affected by the highly infectious virus which is gripping the world unguarded. This time around, we took it as a virus spiralling ferociously into its third wave around the world as expected again.

The nature and modus operandi of the unseen virus has been changing, in other words, mutating fast ever since. We’re just good at talking about the intensity of the microscopic virus.

But today, I’m here very glad to inform you that God has answered our prayers. And, without much suffering, we’re able to lead our normal life again. Thanking you all for your prayers at this time!

‘Free will’ leads to our distress:

We wanted to have our way in everything. We wanted to be like God not resisting our free will which led to our fall in the very first place.

Even today, we wanted to have our way – not submitting to anyone or authority. Everyone somehow finds it very wrong to follow the guidelines laid out by the rulers, here the one who governs us. Yet in our distress no one can survive alone, we seek help and do actually help each other in the best way we could do.

Many times without seeking the will of God, we toyed around with our free will leading us into a storm of distress. I’m one of those imperfect people all along.

I do not have that much wisdom to toy around with conspiracy theories that cropped up when the pandemic hit the world. But I’m writing here to warn you to check up on yourself

Be firm on your faith, it is more important than your ideology or status in this world. Think of your eternal soul.

Your soul might be crying inside you searching for a Saviour with whom to rely upon in eternity.

Jonah in the Bible is no different from this impending misuse of our free will. He reasoned it well to not preach in Nineveh against their wickedness. They might repent and the Lord might revive them instead of burning their city. It seems they deserved it because of their atrocities.

So, he ran away from the Lord and flee towards Tarshish. I will not be telling the whole incident here. So feel free to read more in the book of Jonah.

Calling in Distress :

A violent storm met him on his way and the ship threatened to break up. In very short, he told them he was the cause of the trouble. He can conceal no more. He was thrown into the sea. Thus, swallowed by a huge fish.

Jonah called to the Lord in his distress from the belly of the huge fish. Still, the Lord heard him because God’s love is loyal love.

My last post was just me sending out a distress call among my readers and children of God. I am highly privileged to have been saved by God through the sacrificial work of his son on the cross. Now, I can call to him, count on him in everything I’ve faced. And, I know I’m never alone – he is always with me.

I’m here glad to inform you that God has brought us to our desired haven in his time.

Distress in the storm:

We faced the storms of life in different phases of our journey. My initial writing on this site stemmed from one of these storms from my broken brain leading to my surgery and the subsequent hospitalizations, which followed from time to time.

These storms are a reminder of the spring of living water flowing inside us through the spirit.
Then at some point in time gathered around us shaking our living at different degrees. The timings are and cannot be determined by us

Early into this year as we were eagerly waiting to celebrate the birthday of our younger child a storm came through

Getting Relieved:

We still have our obligation once we get relieved of our distress. No, obligated only if we’re grateful. We have to spread the living water around. Keep filling people and around us. I

t is this living water that connects us to our eternal life. Keep spreading what the Lord did for us because his compassion is new every morning.

You know what, this is why I keep writing, as the word came to me, to spread my message of gratitude to my Lord and my Saviour.

If you want you can do it so, or you can help me do it in every way possible. It’s the teamwork of those who felt obligated to tell by the grace of God.
