Your feathers covered me
In your secret place, I rested.
What a joy to be with you!
Pouring my heart into you
As I’m feeble, yet with hope
In your wings, you’ll fly me
In your abiding love.
#
As the runaway man did,
I’m far from your words
Yet your eyes are on me;
Shelter my weary body,
Until it gets restored.
I run to you; keep me safe.
I need you every day.
#
In the heat and cold,
You shielded my head
You cover me passionately
Yet I may rant before you
Cos you’re my only father!
You loved me more
I feel safe in you!
#
You who have wings,
When in need, You fly me
Hide me from the plague
And I’ll perish no more;
I’m glad you found me,
Most High, Cover me
You are my refuge.
