One more blogversary

Today is the 8th birthday of my blog. My heartfelt gratitude to my esteemed readers, subscribers,  and well-wishers for all the support and love over these years!

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

My blogging platform has introduced me to the virtual world of another experience with good friends, authors, and vast opportunities through words.

I was in the process of recovering when I started blogging using this domain. A special mention to Siam Naulak @NWD for his insights and valuable guidance.

I began my blogging journey with WordPress. WordPress is smooth and easy to manage. They have good, knowledgeable, and supportive customer executives.

First, I used Bluehost for hosting and then moved on to BigRock due to financial constraints. Both the hosting platform works well for me.

Looking back:

Looking back, I enjoy writing content, editing, and researching for others in congruent with the subjects on which I acquired my academic degrees.

It was on December 14, 2015, I entered the room of bright lights where part of my broken brain had been operated upon. It was a period that will stick with me for a long time.

Over the years, my areas of interest have shifted and my perspectives have changed. The blog provides me with a glimpse of this transition.

What blogging meant to me:

Once I commit myself to something, I know I can be consistent at it for years. Writing is one such activity that has evolved from being a hobby to becoming a purpose.

Blogging/writing has become an important medium through which I can express myself authentically. That has always been the goal. It also gave me the urge to learn God’s word as it is.

To be honest, I don’t think about what topics the reader would like to read about. I was just expressing my thoughts and chronicling my days as a chronically ill and struggling person.

My neurological disorder has been a boon and bane to me. It inspires me to live and appreciate each day. It’s a great joy to see my body parts functioning as they should be.

What I have learned so far:

I have tried and need to learn more about monetizing. A little understanding of SEO and the likes wasn’t enough to earn more through this blog.

It wasn’t more than sufficient to pay my bills. Yet I did not want to change my subject despite my being not averse to other topics and genres.

Further, I have learned it wasn’t easy to find a market and publisher for Christian books. This depends on several factors – my location, subject, meager theological background, and title or status in the church community.

Thus, I have also self-published several books on Amazon KDP. Writing books has been my dream since my childhood, but the experiences of my life’s journey have changed my topic.

My subject will inspire, and bring hope to finding opportunities and joy in difficulties or suffering, which were inevitable in our life.

Health and limitations:

I haven’t fully recovered as yet. My brain functioning has caused certain limitations in my daily life. I must learn to be content with being myself.

I’m happy to spend time alone, although my doctor advised me to limit certain activities including content creation. However, my doctor also encouraged me not to give up on my hobby as well.

Regarding food, all kinds of protein-rich, iron-rich, and food items containing lactose were slowly resisted by my body. Yet my taste has been yearning for all of these food items.

I hope to live well and put out articles or posts from time to time. I urge you to pray for me and my family.

Words of Gratitude:

Until now, I have some understanding of the value of words. On a lighter note – especially when you get paid or sell your content! (Smile & laughs)

Above all, I thank God for allowing me to think of something that can be put out in words. Words are my best friend for now. You can help me reach 1000 subscribers.

My words, I have realized, are never enough to express the goodness of God to me!

Thank you for sharing, subscribing, and reading!

Peace and blessings to you!
