Re-imagine Life

Some years down the line when I had to resign from my regular job, most of my trousers and shirt were hanging there in my small closet. I only wear them on church services and in a small gathering which I attended when invited.

Now, there is an unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic, which served as the background of this post for now, and the subsequent Lockdown was in place. There’s a chance to re-imagine life to the degree our mind could take us in this time of distress.

The things that we value life came to the forefront. We saw people dying, numbers of the infected patients rising. While there’s a heavy heart inside us, sometimes, I’m glad I’m still here to write this piece to you.

As I had highlighted in the beginning, my clothes – my few nice dresses that I hold them dearly, becomes the epitome of what is happening around us. And, I hope, for someone who is still possessing a normal working human brain would be re-imagining their life in these times.

When Imaging Isn’t Enough

Due to my neurological disorder, I have frequented Imaging and Diagnostic Centers around the city I am living in. These imaging scans showed the internal neurons and the wear and tear if whatsoever occurred, the condition they are in, and the diagnosis and prognosis.

As I sat back many times elsewhere in isolation there’s a good time for re-imagining myself although I was reminded time and again to go slow on it, then giving a good rest to the functioning brain.

By this time now, everyone is put to re-imagine their life in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. And I’m afraid some of us would fall in the dark side of life rather than seeing the light in the time of darkness.

Re-imagining Our Living

By re-imagine, I want you to take a few deep breaths into your life – how you did your savings, insurance, and investment to keep your life afloat. We maximize our needs on our own, which becomes heavy – a yoke burdening our lives. Christ had offered us to change with his yoke because he saw our strained body. (Matthew 11:28-30) It is for us to take the offer, on our free will!

Now, most of us have to take into account the economic virtue of up-keeping and maintaining our living. It is a good practice which I also did a few of them while working in the banking sector. However, sooner or later it becomes a burden to me paying the premiums as I am unable to outrun my neurological disorder.

Those practices of maintaining economic sustainability act like a heavy burden to me in repaying the debts which may not yield good maturity products and are sticking to your name even when lying in the hospital.

In this pandemic, it becomes a good lesson for us to learn the messy living we have had beyond the need for a normal life. Most of us own and preserve the things which once will be blown away like a speck of dust.

Time of Re-imagining

In this time of distress, our minds don’t work normally for many of us. If you are suffering constant pain silently, like me, please remember our Lord Jesus Christ is also suffering silently for us when he is bearing the cross for us.

And in that sense, we might not be able to write more speak more about the assurance we had in Christ. Yet when I re-imagine life and what’s happening around us.

Christ the Rock of Salvation is our savior in any times of trouble. Pestilence, perseverance is the channel for us to gain the crown of good discipleship before we meet him.

Re-imagine Your Way of Living:

It is a good time for us to re-imagine our future way of living. This pandemic may end or we might have to learn to come to terms with it as the virus may not fully disappear from the face of the earth. In other words, it will continue to take lives but on a less recognizable statistics.

For today, let me end here. I hope we’ll continue to be in touch in good days to come bounded by the grace of Lord Jesus Christ.

Lastly, as we went through this time of distress and anxiety I hope we appreciate more of the life and the little needs we had for a lifetime.

We can help each other by sharing our experiences and LESSONS we’ve been through. Let’s uplift each other in prayers and through our words. If you were willing to do, please put it in the comments section, it might give a Positive Aspect Of Life to someone who is in need like you and me.!

  1. This time of sheltering-in-place has isolated me from my family physically but not spiritually. I can still interact with them, pray for them and visit with them virtually. It has so re-enforce for me the truth that God made us for community, for relationships and desires that we have connections with other for our own health and well being as well as giving us opportunities to reach out with our faith. The great commission is not achieved by isolating ourselves from others. We need others and God has put that desire within us so we can connect. I am looking forward to reconnecting ‘live’ when it becomes possible but will continue to do it virtually for my sake and for His.

    • It’s good to hear from you. As you stated many believers had taken the stand of being spiritually enforce with greater authority in these days.
There were quite a few unprecedented challenge to people of all faith, which I prayed will open up our hearts more closely to our Savior. I am looking forward to reconnecting with all of the faithful believers around the world. It has also open up a chance to shine the light and do more of the good work than before. Stay safe under the wings of the Lord!
