Baruch Hashem Adonai

It is in my prerogative, as a created being in the image of Adonai, to praise the Lord as much as he deserves, at first. The fall of mankind cleft my heart to mend my broken relationship with him.

My journey has so far not been so smooth, yet in the sharp edges of pain and detour, the name of the Lord gives me hope. More so, his consistent grace is the redeemer of my soul.

Outwardly, the suffering I have endured through the times becomes a constant reminder of the greatness of the Lord.

Now, the phrase Baruch Hashem Adonai is a Hebrew word, which translates to ‘Blessed is the name of the Lord.” The phrase recognizes God as the source of blessings and signifies the faith we have had in him.

In all aspects of life, God deserves praise; His name is greater than anything. It is incomparable. Even in our worst moments in life, God sees us, and he remains unchanged. Then, does God not care about our sufferings? He cares, Jesus cares! Job blesess his name in his sufferings. Job 1:21

Praising the Lord:

When our life on earth is over, we are often projected as being the end of the world or to simply rest in the arms of the Lord. We are to praise him forever, in his presence, that we would not get tired because our souls and spirits would be restored.

It is a direct way to praise God for who He is and for His actions. It can be used in various situations, including prayers, personal reflection, and even as a response to both joy and suffering.

The apostle Paul was all in praise, blessing the name of the Lord in his letter to the Ephesians for what the Lord has done for us. The Lord has stooped to the degree of mankind to create a new identity, the identity that was lost by man during the fall. We are in the process of complete restoration.

All praise to God:

All praise to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Amen Eph.1:3

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ.

This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So, we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. Baruch hashem Adonai! Amen Eph. 1:6-7

Praise God for the freedom:

He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. We are far away from God because of our sin. But he brought us closer to him in his grace by offering his only Son as a sacrifice on the cross.

It is through the Son that we are given a new identity to be no longer strangers and foreigners, but citizens of the kingdom of heaven. Eph. 2:19

Thus, when we praise, we reach out to the Lord God and reach out to other people. If you’re happy, reach out to others.

Holy worship to God:

We are to offer a holy and acceptable worship to the Lord our God. The psalmist has praised the Lord for who he is; the things he has done, his forgiveness, mercy, and the unfailing love through which the Lord has looked after us.

Let all that I am praise the LORD;
with my whole heart,
I will praise his holy name.
Let all that I am praise the LORD;
May I never forget the good things he does for me.

He forgives all my sins
and heals all my diseases.
He redeems me from death
and crowns me with love and tender mercies.

He fills my life with good things.
My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!
The LORD gives righteousness
and justice to all who are treated unfairly.
Ps.103

Blessed the name of the Lord:

God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God. The family of God seems to be limited before the coming of Christ, as God intended to make Israel the priest of all nations. Eph.1:12

And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago.

Praise for the Inheritance:

Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him. Eph.1:14

Inheritance, in the ways of the world, is what we value the most if someone is of high value and standard. Above all kings and kingdoms, the Lord God holds the authority over his created beings.

In his abiding grace, the Lord has made us his inheritance, which comes with a price to pay, to remain aloof or not conform to the world, as we draw closer to him in the journey of life.

Praise the Lord:

Here, I would like to conclude with a song of praise that celebrates God’s power and wisdom as the Creator of the universe and sustainer of life here on earth and beyond.

I will sing to the Lord as long as I live.
I will praise my God to my last breath!
May all my thoughts be pleasing to him,
For I rejoice in the LORD.
Let all sinners vanish from the face of the earth;
let the wicked disappear forever.
Let all that I am praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!
Ps.104:33

We are to praise the Lord, blessing his name, as there is no other name like God!
